Disney World vs. Universal studious Orlando

Orlando Florida’s top two theme parks are Disney World and Universal Studios, Lets talk about the two. Both theme parks are family friendly, for all ages but might attract different vibes. I have gone to both at different ages so I can agree on those sayings.

Disney world being placed as the number one theme park in Orlando Florid already say’s a lot for itself. Something you would want to know about Disney World before going is knowing a bit about the four parks they have for you to choose from. The parks they have are Disney’s Hollywood Studious, Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Magic Kingdom Park, and EPCOT.

Hollywood Studious is one out of the two parks I have went to, and I really enjoyed it, it is filled with so much fun rides for not only teenagers but for kids as well. It includes Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land. I would say Hollywood studios has some of the more intense rides like the Twilight Zone

Animal Kingdom includes Na’vi River Journey, Valley of Mo’ara, and Pandora – The World of Avatar.

The magical kingdom is the second park I have been to and from my experience I didn’t enjoy it as much as Hollywood Studious but I’d say because the magical kingdom is more of an area for little kids and I usually like more intense rides, but I’d say is you’re looking for what park might be enjoyable for little kids I’d recommend the Magical Kingdom. The Magical Kingdom has Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, Happily Ever After, Sir Mickey’s where you can dress up as a princess or any Disney character for all ages!

EPCOT is the final theme park they have a Ratatouille ride that’s in 4D, EPCOT also includes Frozen Ever after which is about Elsa and Anna and you can also meet them there. They also have The Sea with Nemo & Friends and glaskunst and so much more to do and see at each theme park

Disney Offers lots of great ticket options for their theme parks and for their water park. The options that they have for theme parks are “3-Day, 3-Park Ticket” which does not include the Magical kingdom. Each day you go you would be paying $89.00 per person. This means that overall, your total would be $267.00 per ticket for anyone older the age of 10 but for anyone 9 and under it would be $59.07 For each day so overall 177.19. I’d say that the “3-Day, 3-Park Ticket” is the best option for anyone who’s planning on only going to Disney World and wanting to explore each park. The next options they have are almost the same but different prices depending on the ages. Same as the the “3-Day, 3-Park Ticket” the one-day pass has different prices depending on age. For anyone 10+ it would be 119.00 Per Ticket but it doesn’t state the price for anyone younger.

Now let’s talk about universal studious Orlando and its “perks” and rides. Aswell as Disney World, Universal Studious Orlando has four parks. The parks Include the Epic Universe, Universal Studious, Universal Island of Adventure, and Volcano Bay.

Epic Universe features “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter”- Ministry of Magic and Super Nintendo World. This is my second favorite park because the rides and the overall harry potter vibes are so fun and cool!

Universal Studious also features the wizarding world of harry potter – Diagon Alley and Transformers: The Ride-3D, this park was fun because it had a mix of intense and calm rides for example the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit (my favorite ride) has a big drop right away and goes very fast and plays music. A calmer ride I’d say is the minions ride and if you want to get wet while on a ride with a little drop, I suggest the Jurassic World ride. Universal Studious has many kid friendly rides along with ones for teenagers or adults.

Disney has over 25 hotels to choose from but when I searched specifically for Disney World’s it just showed me a list so I couldn’t find to much about the deals that the hotels offer if you stay with them for a couple of nights.

Universal Island of Adventure features the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade and The Incredible Hulk Coaster. The Incredible Hulk Coaster is such a fun ride it goes fast turns you upside down and is very loopy, it was one of the rides I was scared to go on for a while but when I did I couldn’t stop. Another fun ride is Jurassic World VelociCoaster, this ride is a few years old, it’s a fast ride that gets faster towards the second half.

And finally, their water park Volcano Bay, it features Krakatau Aqua Coaster, Ko’okiri Body Plunge, Ohno of Ohyah & Ohno Drop Slides. I’ve personally have never been here but from what I’ve seen the water park looks very fun.

For $119 you can pick either Universal Studious Florida OR Universal Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay is $80 for anyone 10+. For anyone younger it’s $114 for ages 3-9 and then $75 for Volcano Bay, Five dollar difference. If you’re planning on going to Both parks it would be $174 for 10+ and $169 for ages 3-9. It’s $139 for Universal Epic Universe for 10+ and $134 for ages 3-9.

Aswell as Disney World, Universal studious has so many great deals on hotels that are walking distance, or you can take a little boat there if that’s what they offer. Every place offers deals on your purchase on tickets if you’re staying with them which is nice. The places they have are Endless Summer Resort either the Dockside Inn and Suites or Surfside Inn and suites along with, Cabana Bay Beach Resort, Aventura Hotel, Stella Nova Resort, Terra Lunna Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, Portofino Bay Hotel etc. Universal has a website where you can create your own package for the trip and it states that if you bundle you may save “up to $200 when you bundle a 2 night or longer hotel stay with a 3-Park PLUS 1-Day Universal Epic Universe Ticket”.

If you’re headed to Orlando Florida and are looking for a fun theme park, get away with your family or friends Disney World and Universal Studios are a must! Both places offer good deals if you’re staying at one of their resorts or not and if you’d like to go to more than one of the parks they offer. But the one you would have to go to is Disney World it’s such a dreamy place and is perfect for anyone of younger and older age. Disney World has so many fun parks and all around there’s Disney characters for you to meet and everyone is so sweet. They also have a variety of rides going from intense to slow ones that are perfect for little kids. I’m not saying that Universal is a bad place because it’s definitely my favorite with so many fun rides all around as well and sometimes characters come out preforming, but I don’t tend to see as much kid friendly rides as I do at Disney World.
